Winnie's All-Stars
Kids helping kids
HCEF is very proud of the young people who have committed themselves to promoting the mission and programming of the Homeless Children's Education Fund.
We have not sought them out. They have come to us on their own, offering their time, their energy, and their enthusiasm in exchange for the opportunity to "give back" in a meaningful way to their greater Pittsburgh communities.
Using the sidebar links, read the stories of individual youths and organized groups of young people who have raised their own awareness of homelessness among children in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and also have found imaginative ways to support HCEF's work on behalf of these children.
You'll meet Juliana, Max, Hannah, Iris, Michael, Bella and Nat, Praveen, Jonathan, Alisha, and Jessika and get ideas from the group projects of 2010 PSVP-Kids, members of Clairton High School's C.H.A.N.C.E., Fox Chapel High School's D.E.S.I. Club, Pittsburgh Young Leaders Academy at Langley and Oliver High Schools, Independence Middle Schoolers, a local J-Site Team, Dorsey Middle School Team 6B, Samuel M. Goldston Teen Philanthropy Project twice, South Central Elementary School 3rd graders, the Shalom Mitzvah Corps, and Brownie Troop 1018.
