The instructors explain what the children and youths will be doing this day: making French "crêpe" and learning the French words for the ingredients they will be using to make this exquisite treat.
Each child has a paper plate, a crêpe, and a plastic knife. Each repeats the word crêpe.
They learn the French words for the filling of each crêpe. In English: powdered sugar, strawberry jam, banana, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce.
Then step by step they assemble their crepes, always practicing the new French words they have learned.
There's always room for a bit of artistic license before the wrap-up.
Celebrating a job well done!
"M-m-m-m GOOD! Merci, Monsieur et Madame!"
