A COVID-19 Update from HCEF

A COVID-19 Update from HCEF

A quick announcement from HCEF regarding our operations amid the COVID-19 outbreak:

We are closely monitoring all communications regarding COVID-19 and taking direction from Governor Tom Wolf. We are committed to ensuring the safety of our students, staff, volunteers, supporters, and the greater community.

As for our students, they need community support now more than ever. School and business closures will majorly disrupt their educational, financial, and mental well-being—making them a highly vulnerable population in this time of crisis. As a result, HCEF remains committed to delivering and adapting our services as needed. Our afterschool staff will be working to provide remote learning resources and game kits to our kids at the shelters. Our Teen Program Manager will be delivering meals and supplies to our teens, as well as meeting with them virtually. In addition, we will be working directly with our partners and homeless providers to help them tackle their ever-changing needs.

As for the state our office, the HCEF staff will be operating remotely, with 1-2 staff members in the office at a limited capacity for the time being. If you need to reach us, please call 412-562-0154 or email info@homelessfund.org, and you will be directed to the appropriate person. If you would like to contact a staff member directly, you can find their emails and extensions here: https://homelessfund.org/about-us/team/. We will be updating you periodically on the status of our programs and in-office operations.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. HCEF is committed to the safety and well-being of our entire community. We will still be accepting donations to support our kids in this time of need at www.homelessfund.org/donate.
